Recently, White Coat Waste Project exposed
that Ivy League animal experimenters that waste billions of your tax dollars each year on boondoggles like "mouse fight club" and monkey marriage proposals have been violating a law requiring that they disclose how much they spend. A federal audit prompted by our report further confirmed
that agencies are not enforcing this common-sense transparency law.
Now, Congress has introduced the Cost Openness and Spending Transparency (COST) Act (S. 807) to strengthen this law by extending it to all agencies and imposing penalties--including withholding funds--on grantees that don't comply.
Tell Congress to pass the COST Act (S. 807) to improve transparency and accountability about wasteful taxpayer-funded animal experiments!
